Our Mission
North Pole Church of the Nazarene lives to love God, love others, speak Biblical truth, and develop servants for Jesus Christ.
Our Vision
Our vision is to see our city awakened and transformed by the love of Jesus.
Our Beliefs
One God
We believe in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Scripture Inspired by God
We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
Sin and Evil
We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
We Need a Savior
We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
Salvation
We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
Sanctification
We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
Final Judgment
We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
“Our mission is not to build our own church, but to build His Church.”

Our Organization
Under the leadership of our Pastor, Rev. Brad Rogers, and the local church board, the North Pole Church of the Nazarene is one of the 29 churches that make up the Alaska District Church of the Nazarene.
The Alaska District belongs to the USA/Canada Region, one of the six global regions of the Church of the Nazarene.
The Nazarene Church
The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition.
Organized in 1908, the denomination is now home to about 2.5 million members worshipping in more than 30,000 congregations in 165 world areas.
The Church of the Nazarene is the largest denomination in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The doctrine that distinguishes the Church of the Nazarene and other Wesleyan denominations from most other Christian denominations is that of entire sanctification. Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind.
Discipleship
Christian discipleship is a way of life. It is the process of learning how God would have us live in the world. As we learn to live in obedience to the Word of God, in submission to the disciplines of the faith, and in accountability to one another, we begin to understand the true joy of the disciplined life and the Christian meaning of freedom. Discipleship is not merely human effort, submitting to rules and regulations. It is the means through which the Holy Spirit gradually brings us to maturity in Christ. It is through discipleship that we become people of Christian character. The ultimate goal of discipleship is to be transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Global Missions
As a global community of faith, we are commissioned to take the Good News of life in Jesus Christ to people everywhere and to spread the message of scriptural holiness across the lands.
The Church of the Nazarene has moved over time from a church with an international presence toward a global community of believers. Grounded in the Wesleyan tradition, Nazarenes understand themselves to be a people who are Christian, holiness, and missional, and they have embraced the mission statement: “To make Christlike disciples in the nations.”
