Ready to Serve?

God calls us as believers to serve in our community and our church for His kingdom. Here are some ways to engage in service at North Pole Church of the Nazarene. After prayerful consideration, if you feel God is calling you to serve in any of these areas, please contact us.

Outdoor Food Pantry

Outdoor Food Pantry for Unhoused Youth

Provide shelf-stable food items from the list provided by the church. Assemble food bags. Deliver bags to the pantry once a month.

Celebrate Recovery Dinners

Provide a dinner once a month for the Tuesday night Celebrate Recovery meetings.

Community Outreach Events

Help with any of the community events planned throughout the year. December – Candy house decorating party, January – Great Alaska North Pole chili cook off, February – Made with love dessert bake off, March/April – Easter egg decorating party, May – Mother’s Day event, June – Father’s Day event

Worship and Tech Team

Give your heart in worship to our Lord. Worship and technology team opportunities are available for Sunday morning worship and Tuesday night Celebrate Recovery. 

Prayer Team

The life of North Pole Church of the Nazarene is bathed in prayer. Everyone can join in this high calling of prayer for the ministries of the church, our pastor, the people we serve, our city and greater community, and around the globe.

Buildings and Grounds Team

Help with building maintenance, lawn care, and planning for renovations.

Hospitality Team

Provide the warm welcoming space for everyone who enters your church. This can include decorating, floral arrangements, cleaning, and keeping kitchen and bathroom supplies ready. It can also include greeting and ushering.

Youth and Children’s Ministry Team

All adults who work with youth, children, and babies are required to pass a background check and Ministry Safe training. Teens may work with children and babies with a Ministry Safe approved adult present. Opportunities include nursery during Sunday School and Worship Service, Children’s Church on Sundays, and Celebration Place for kindergarten through 4th grade during Tuesday night Celebrate Recovery.
